Infested Sanity

You play as a college student that just moved into their new apartment. However, it’s not the nicest of places and you may have roommates you were unaware of. Walk around your apartment and interact with objects to meet them. They will always spread, hide and make more friends. Engage in 1 of 3 minigames (others are a WIP). These can be found at the drawer in the player’s bedroom, the desk in the living room, and other objects. Poke, swipe, and click the bugs away but remember there will always be more next time.

Road Map For Future Updates

With Infested Sanity being developed for a game jam we understand that it may leave players with something to desire. That is why we are including our road map of all future planned updates all free on itch.io

Day/night cycle.

We feel like by adding a day night cycle we will allow for the player to feel time passing as their sanity slowly slips and their apartment becomes worse and worse. 

Narrative and Internal Dialogue

We understand how important it is to tell a story with more than just the environment. We have plans to add internal dialogue that will help give “status” updates on the player. This will help the players connect more with the character and grasp the story in a more comprehensive way.

MORE MINIGAMES

Infested Sanity is in an early prototype and we only able to develop 3 of the many minigames we have planned for full release. Some essential ones that will be added before the release of Infested Sanity

Spray

Using a can of roach spray you found in your cabinets spray the roaches off your walls in the dining room.

Flick

You go to use the restroom, but right before you sit down you notice roaches have beat you to it. Flick them into the toilet and flush them down. 

Stomp

Maybe you feel a bit hungry, you go to the kitchen to make a peanut butter jelly but you notice there are roaches all over the floor stomp them before they get away.

Sandwich time

While making a sandwich you have roaches crawling at the sandwich from both sides. Swipe them away if you don’t they’ll get stuck in your sandwich.

This is not an exhaustive list but a few of the many minigames we have planned for the future. We are thankful for the opportunity to participate in this jam and hope we can show everyone what more there is to come with Infested Sanity.
